Engagement sessions are great get to know you photo sessions. During them you get experience being in front of the camera, and can practice being the center of attention as you will be on your wedding day. They also make for great sign in books (I’ll post photos of one of those in its own page soon).
Some couples that I’ve worked with have chosen to have their sessions at places that were meaningful to them. Chauntel and Gerardo chose a woodland area where both their families had chosen to spend summers for years (perhaps they even passed each other unknowingly), and where they had spent time together as one big family in the present day.
Chris and Jana chose to go all over San Francisco, including a bar which was the setting of their first meeting.
Lindsay and Sonny chose Standford where he was studying and even acted out some of their old high school days. A collage of their session is below.
